TESTSCAN
Radiology is a field of medicine involving various imaging tests to screen for, diagnose, and treat certain conditions. Medical professionals called radiologists specialise in performing these tests and interpreting the results to provide the appropriate treatment. Radiography tests serve three major purposes. First, they screen for or search for abnormalities or injuries in a particular area. It usually requires only two to three images taken from different angles. Second, they assist in the diagnosis of some diseases and track the body’s reaction to a specific treatment. It requires a more comprehensive approach, usually by generating 3-D images. Third, they help in guiding other treatments and surgeries, called interventional radiology. To meet these requirements, there are different categories of radiological tests. Each differs in terms of the type of rays used, its utility, and the target and intent of its imaging. Radiology tests are a principal procedure in several diagnostic and treatment approaches. The safety, ease of use, and accuracy of the results form a significant pillar in the medicinal field. That being said, these tests must only be performed when prescribed by the doctor and under the supervision of a certified radiologist |
